Noita Rescue Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Noita Rescue is an iPhone game by boneDev. This page explains what data is processed when you play, why, and what you can do about it. In short: you don't need to give us your name or email, or create an account, to play, and we don't sell your data.

1. Who is responsible

boneDev (Alberto Vizcaíno), developer of Noita Rescue.

2. What data is processed and why

Your game

When you open the game, an anonymous Firebase session (by Google) is created: a random identifier that doesn't say who you are. We use it to store your progress and game statistics in the cloud: the level you've reached, coins, lives, points, puppies rescued, stars and attempts per level, boosters earned and used, videos watched, number of sessions, days and time played, and the dates of installation and of your last game.

Why: to save your game and to tune the difficulty of the levels. Legal basis: providing the service you ask for when you play, and our legitimate interest in the game working well.

App and device usage

The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase, which automatically collects usage data: an installation identifier, device model, operating system and app version, language, approximate country or region (derived from your IP address, which is not stored in full), and when and for how long the app is used. We also use Firebase Remote Config to download the game's settings.

Why: to understand how the game is played, find bugs and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Advertising

The game may offer you a video in exchange for a reward, such as extra moves. Watching is always optional. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process device identifiers, your IP address, technical device data and how you interact with ads, in order to show them, measure their performance and prevent fraud.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game will ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the game's settings. The game does not ask for permission to track you across apps (App Tracking Transparency), so it does not access Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).

Legal basis: your consent for personalised advertising, and our legitimate interest for non-personalised advertising. More about how Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Purchases

In-game purchases are handled by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details: only the confirmation that the purchase went through, so we can give you what you bought.

What stays on your phone

Your nickname, avatar, settings (sound, language) and a copy of your progress are stored only on your device. If you delete the game, they are deleted with it.

3. Who we share it with

With the providers that make the game work: Google (Firebase and AdMob) and Apple (purchases). We don't sell or hand your data to anyone else.

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

4. How long it is kept

Your game data, for as long as your game session exists or until you ask us to delete it. Google Analytics usage data, for at most 14 months. Advertising data, according to Google's policy.

5. Children

Noita Rescue is not directed at children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, or to receive it in a portable format. Write to noita@bonedev.app. Since the game doesn't ask for any personal data, we'll ask you for the player ID shown in the game's settings to find yours.

If you think we haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll publish the new version here with its date. If the change is significant, we'll also let you know inside the game.
